THE “THINK TANK” :: (Key Biscayne Room)

The “3” day conference agenda addressed the most pressing challenges and trends in the metro market.  The conference kicked off with a roundtable panel discussion by Bank Street and Schneider Electric. 

BBQ SOCIAL DINNER :: (Ocean Garden)

After the panel discussion, all business executives enjoyed a BBQ in the garden area of the Eden Rok with beautiful ocean views (delicious food as well).  (We proudly provided the string lighting, sound and uplighting)

MAIN CONFERENCE ROOM :: (Ocean B & C)

The Metro Connect conference started after a light breakfast and coffee in the main conference room (B & C).  Some of the topics discussed during the conference were :: Metro Market Financial Analysis, Is it still a buyer’s market?  The latest in mergers and acquisitions, the big impact of small cells – the next generation of wireless upgrades, reinventing the role of the cable company making an impact in the fiber space and the interaction between connectivity and data center infrastructure.  (Woooow! yes those were the topics!! very interesting !)

The Metro Connect conference had an impressive list of CEO, CFO and Chairman, just to mention a few of the CEO who were part of the panel and spoke at the conference are ::

EVENT TECHNICAL NOTES ::

The event started with a small break out room that contained an 8 foot screen with a panel discussions including a sound engineer.

The main conference room had 2 wireless microphones for question and answer and well as a panel discussion of 8 table gooseneck microphones.  The dual fast fold screens were used in combination with a seamless switcher in the large room to make viewing the conference content pleasant for the audience.  

A confidence monitor was provided as well as a high range cue clicker for the presenters.

LOCATION OF EVENT ::

The event location was at the Wynwood “local favorite” Cypress Tavern by Chef Michael Schwartz who also owns Michael’s Genuine Restaruant a few blocks down the street.  (still till today a local favorite, you should check it out when visiting Miami Wynwood!)  

Everyone in Miami always talk about that “some of the most delicious cocktails in Wynwood” are at Cypress Tavern!  Said Danny McShane and Fernando A. who both work at Prime 112 in Miami Beach.

PROJECT LOGO AT THE ENTRANCE :: 

The event manager asked for their logo (branding) to be projected at the entrance of the restaurant, therefore we projected onto the entrance floor as a result, brand visibility was maximized!  (We used a metal round standard sized gobo custom design by the client)

How to rent a Screen :: in Miami Fort Lauderdale South Florida?

The following are “friendly tips” on important questions you need to know so you can “easily, quickly and without any stress” rent a projection screen in South Florida, and in return, you can enjoy your moment without having to worry about the “AV stuff.”

KNOW YOUR EVENT ::

You have to know your event.  What we mean is ::
:: how many people are you expecting to attend?
:: What is the size of your meeting room?
:: Will it be indoors our outdoors?
:: Will you need to rent a computer / video projector or will you bring your own?
:: What model is your projects and will it work under the lighting conditions?
:: Is your event in the morning or night to consider the room lighting?
:: You get the idea?
:: A lot to consider for only renting a screen in South Florida, right?

The more information about the room and your meeting space, the more it will help “us” the AV outsource rental company, recommend the exact screen that will work best for you.

EXAMPLE ::

We work with a luxury hotel and the client wanted a “large screen in the room”.  According to the the room size (a small library) and the amount of people (20+) we recommended a 70″ screen (1.778 meters).  Perfect!  NOT SO PERFECT!  

The event organizer mentioned that her executive always preferred the largest screen that “can possible fit in the room” because they show such small details on the screen that this was their preference.  

We then “upgraded them to a 120” screen (3.048 meters) a size that was never done before, but they loved it!  The executive was so happy with the much larger screen that we received great reviews and we love that we made our client very happy!

CONCLUSION ::

Know your audience size, know who will be presenting, room limitations and lighting and the content, this will help determine the screen size!  (or just click here to contact us with rental questions)

YOU DON’T KNOW ANY THING ABOUT SCREENS? ::

“I have no idea about screens, measurements, roof height, and I don’t have time for this because I’m sooo busy with planning my conference”  NO PROBLEM, just give us an idea of what you want to accomplish and the audience size, we use a simple formula that goes from 5 – 20 / 20 – 50 / 50 – 125 / 125 -250 / 250+.  We got you covered on the screen size!

INDOOR OR OUTDOOR ::

We can not stress this enough when we speak with clients.  Will your event be indoors or outdoors?  

Think of a screen as a sail on a boat, wind catches wind port side and your off!  Same with a screen outdoors!  But in the case, you will not be in a safe harbor!!  Screen will TIP OVER!  Then your off to an embracing moment!  No one want that, of course, so know = indoors or outdoors?  

Outdoors you need to secure the screens and make it “safe” bra bra techy stuff, “indoor or outdoor screen” and we will recommend.  got it? great! easy!

(Note :: outdoor screens will usually be more expensive to rent because of the securing and assembly time, usually of course depending on size)

I WANT A TV OR ONE OF THOSE LED SCREENS ::

Now we’re talking the fun stuff, we were starting with actual fabric screens and yes, there are options to rent TVs for meetings as well as bright LED Walls, this all falls in the “know your meeting and what you want to accomplish”.  

Outdoor sporting event in the middle of the day?  – LED Wall will work best.  Indoor small meeting with no projector, bright room = TV will work best.  Indoor large space with some wind = maybe a fun inflatable screen.  Get the idea???

(great enjoy a walk on South Beach!)
